Quick Start

What's in the box?​

  • P1 to USB Cable (1,8m)
  • SmartgridOne Controller
  • AC Adapter

Not every controller comes with a P1 to USB Cable, check your order if you need this!

Preparation​

  • Make sure all your devices are integrated and support modbus
  • To configure the SmartgridOne Controller you need an Installer account for Insights
  • Make sure there is a working and supported grid meter
note

For accurate net measurement, it is recommended to connect directly to the P1 port of the digital meter. It is not possible to use an energy meter that is already connected to another device (e.g., a hybrid inverter).

For installations in Belgium:
The P1 user port of the digital meter is disabled by default. Activation is done through "Mijn Fluvius" and may take several hours to complete.

Step-by-step installation​

  1. Installation
    • Securely place or install the SmartgridOne Controller in its designated location.
    • Attach any additional equipment to the appropriate interfaces on the SmartgridOne Controller.
    • Insert a network cable into the network port (RJ45) of the SmartgridOne Controller.
    • Connect the SmartgridOne Controller to a power source.
  2. Configuration
    • Log in to your Insights
    • Go to "Add controller"
      • Fill in your Serial Number and Verification Code
      • Claim the controller
    • Go to "Settings"
      • Under "Current Site" select the new controller
    • Go to "Controller Configuration"
    • Follow the quick start guide in the controller interface
  3. Add the end user
    • Log in to your Insights
    • Go to "User Management"
      • Search for the serial number of the installed controller
      • Add the end-user's email address
