Wiring

Modbus TCP

  • Connect the inverter's LAN port to your local network.
  • Default port: 502.
  • The Modbus unit ID must be set between 1–247 (default 1).

RS485

RS485 Wiring
  • For correct RS485 wiring: Follow the guidelines for RS485 wiring.
  • If the wiring shown in the table below is incorrect, please let us know.
  • There is no general consensus in the industry about the usage of A and B for the RS485 polarity, so it may be counterintuitive and opposite of what you might expect for some devices.

Serial settings:

  • Baud rate: 9600 (default) or as configured in the inverter menu
  • Data bits: 8
  • Parity: None
  • Stop bits: 1

Configuration

NOTE: RS485 Device Addresses
  • You MUST give each device on the RS485 bus a unique address. Check the manual of the device on how to do this.
  • Use lower addresses first (1, 2, ...) because the SmartgridOne Controller will find them faster!
  • For each device, it is generally recommended to stick with the factory default baud rate, parity, and stop bits. The SmartgridOne Controller will scan on those first.
  • Set the Modbus address (slave ID) between 1–247 in the inverter menu.
  • Each device on the RS485 bus must have a unique address.
  • For RS485 wiring best practices, see the Wiring guidelines.

FlexAmp Series Setup

During device scanning or manual configuration, you'll be asked:

"What is included in the installation?"

  • Solar panels and battery (default)
  • Only solar panels
  • Only battery

Select the option that matches your installation to ensure proper device detection and monitoring.

Control

Dysun Hybrid

The inverter supports battery control:

  • Charge mode: Set charge current in amperes
  • Discharge mode: Set discharge power as percentage
  • When control is disabled, the inverter returns to autonomous operation
Caution

Experimental Control features for Dysun Hybrid have not been validated on live hardware.
